Solomon's Porch began as a Sunday evening bible study in 2007. A group consisting of Murray and Becky Gordon & Eugene and Brenda Pullen began a study of the book of Acts, learning what the early church was about and how it looked. They met for a while at the current location of Solomon's Porch, and then in their homes.
Around the time the group felt led to move back to the current location, Aaron DeMerchant met with Murray and told him what God was speaking to him. He told Murray that he believed a morning service was needed as well as the evening service. Murray was in agreement with this and after a period of prayer and more meetings and phone calls between the two, they were set to hold the first Sunday AM service on April 20, 2008.
Aaron and Murray serve as co-pastors for Solomon's Porch. Both are involved in leading the music service. Sunday morning services begin at 10:30 am and are followed with a common meal for anyone who wishes to attend. Sunday evening services begin at 6:30 pm.
Solomon's Porch is a non-denominatial body of believers, open to everyone regardless of denominational background, culture, race, social status, or political view. We invite you to join us for any of our services. Casual dress is encouraged, but feel welome to wear your suit or dress if that is how you are comfortable for worship!
